New Horizons in Physics Prize

Hannes wins the New Horizons Prize by the Breakthrough Prize Foundation. The prize is awarded “For the development of optical tweezer arrays to realize control of individual atoms for applications in quantum information science, metrology, and molecular physics.” Hannes shares the prize with a fantastic group of researchers: Manuel Endres of Caltech, Adam Kaufman of the University of Colorado, Kang-Kuen Ni of Harvard, Hannes Pichler of the University of Innsbruck and Jeff Thompson of Princeton.
