Mid-circuit error correction published in Science

Our work on using an array of spectator qubits to monitor noise and correct for it in real time on a data qubit array has been published in Science today. Congratulations to Kevin, Conor, Shraddha, Ryan and Vikram! We are excited to share this work and believe that spectator protocols will prove to be very useful in a variety of quantum architectures. For atom-array based approaches we establish important tools including mid-circuit readout on large arrays, real-time processing and feed-forward operation, and the coherent reloading of atoms.
